Shakespeare enthusiasts unite!

The Applied Shakespeare graduate certificate program returns in spring 2022 and provides a wonderful opportunity to meet like-minded peers and engage deeply with the works of Shakespeare.

Throughout this 9-credit interdisciplinary program, scholars, teachers, artists and enthusiasts of Shakespeare can analyze and discuss plays in Colorado Shakespeare Festival’s upcoming season, such as, The Two Gentlemen of Verona, All's Well That Ends Well, Coriolanus and The Alchemist. Students will also examine the community-based work of Applied Shakespeare practitioners across the country, attend a variety of hands-on masterclasses taught by CU Boulder faculty and festival guest artists, or explore pedagogies, lesson plans, and exercises for making Shakespeare accessible for students of all ages and across multiple mediums.

Complete the certificate in as little as two semesters with fully online or hybrid coursework that is relevant to your personal or professional goals.

For those who do not wish to complete the entire certificate program, all courses can be taken independently of the program for 3 graduate credits per course.

Remember when fetch was fun?

Does your dog have severe osteoarthritis that interferes with their quality of life? A research study with a new therapeutic being developed for use in humans and dogs for osteoarthritis is seeking volunteers for a no-cost treatment.

Robert Landry, DVM, is teaming up with CU distinguished professor Linda Watkins, PhD, in a clinical study involving treating dogs with a non-viral gene therapy delivered locally in the joint space to help relieve pain associated with debilitating osteoarthritis. This provides a naturally occurring, potent anti-inflammatory protein to calm the ongoing joint inflammation. 

Participation is free once your pet is determined to be eligible. 

• Exams, blood work, gait analysis and X-rays (if needed), once determined to be eligible, are provided to participating dogs and paid through the study. 
• You can keep copies of the diagnostic test results after the study. 
• Your participation could lead to a revolutionary treatment of chronic arthritis pain in our companion animals and possibly set the groundwork for human treatments.

The Testing and Assessment Center joined the CU Book Store Academic Resources Department and is open and committed to providing fast, accurate and secure exam grading. Their office is located in the lower level of the UMC, Room 1B72B. Tests may be dropped off at the TAC office from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. or at the textbook desk in the CU Book Store during store hours.

Results are guaranteed within one business day, and typically orders are completed within two hours of intake.

Standard reports include a grid result, class roster, item analysis and detailed item analysis in Excel format, as well as a histogram and individual test results in PDF format.

Student Legal Services is a small law office dedicated exclusively to serving the legal needs of CU Boulder students, sponsored by the CU Boulder Student Government.

Our mission is to help students resolve or minimize their legal situations so they can focus on school. SLS has several attorneys on staff who can help students make sense of their legal situations, explain their options and help them prevent their legal issues from spiraling out of control. We’ll even tell students when we think they don’t need lawyers.

Journey Leaders are students within the New Student & Family Programs department that help welcome our newest class of CU Buffs to campus. As a Journey Leader you will gain valuable leadership experience while meeting new people and getting involved on campus.

Silicon Flatirons and the Colorado Technology Law Journal (CTLJ) seek those interested to submit their works of scholarship on issues related to high-tension areas of technology law, policy and the impacts of the law on marginalized groups or communities.

Two successful submissions will be selected for publication in the CTLJ. The authors of the papers selected pursuant to this CFP will also be asked to present their research during the Silicon Flatirons annual Topics in Law and Technology Conference (TILT), held annually in February. In 2022, the conference will be Feb. 17–18 and is expected to be held in a hybrid format, meaning participants will be welcome to join us either virtually or in person for the event.

Deadline to apply is Nov. 17. 

Friday, Oct. 29, is the last day for undergraduate and graduate students to drop a class, request a grade replacement or change their pass/fail status for a full-semester Main Campus class. This excludes law students, who are not eligible.
