Volunteer Management Training series offered this fall
The Volunteer Resource Center is hosting a new Volunteer Management Training series to provide individuals and organizations with resources and skills necessary to effectively manage, develop and retain volunteers. Participants will leave each module with key takeaways to implement in their own organizations and volunteer programs. Open to CU Boulder students, staff and faculty as well as nonprofit organizations.
Volunteer management is a key element of the success of your program or event. The Volunteer Management Trainings will take place monthly through the spring semester. You can attend individual sessions based on needs and knowledge, or the whole series for a more holistic education on volunteer management.
Legal trouble? Student Legal Services can help
Student Legal Services is a small law office dedicated exclusively to serving the legal needs of CU Boulder students, sponsored by the CU Boulder Student Government.
Our mission is to help students resolve or minimize their legal situations so they can focus on school. SLS has several attorneys on staff who can help students make sense of their legal situations, explain their options and help them prevent their legal issues from spiraling out of control. We’ll even tell students when we think they don’t need lawyers.
Participants needed for a research study on internet memes
Do you love memes? Do you often find yourself laughing at them and sharing them with friends and family? If so, you would be perfect for a one-time, one-hour focus group discussion about them!
We are interested in knowing more about how people interact with memes on social media and what is going on inside their heads when they see them. Focus group meetings will be conducted in-person on the CU Boulder Main Campus during the month of November. Participants will be compensated with a $10 Target gift card.

Spring internship opportunity at History Colorado Center for juniors, seniors
The Center of the American West Internships Program has an opening next semester for a School Programs intern at History Colorado Center. The intern will work with elementary and secondary students visiting the museum. Primary duties include facilitating hands-on activities in the museum galleries while leading field trip tours and supporting the development and coordination of educational resources.

Deadline tomorrow for class drops, grade replacements, pass/fail changes
Friday, Oct. 29, is the last day for undergraduate and graduate students to drop a class, request a grade replacement or change their pass/fail status for a full-semester Main Campus class. This excludes law students, who are not eligible.
Get free tickets to Friday’s Denver Nuggets game
Watch the Denver Nuggets live and in person at 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29, as they take on the Dallas Mavericks. Limited number of tickets available. Student ticket distribution will start on Wednesday, Oct. 27, at 10 a.m. in the Center for Student Involvement (UMC 330).
One ticket per student; must have Buff OneCard to pick up ticket. If you want to go to the game with a friend, please plan to pick up your tickets together. No tickets will be held. Students can then take the RTD bus for free down to Denver to watch the game.

You may be eligible to receive a COVID-19 booster at Wardenburg
CU Boulder students, faculty and staff who meet certain criteria may receive a COVID-19 vaccine booster shot at the Public Health Clinic in Wardenburg Health Center. Booster shots are available by appointment for those who received the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine and completed their initial series at least 6 months ago.
