Hello world

Whether you’re a seasoned actor looking to expand your skill set or just out for a good workout and a great time, this eight-week stage combat class is for you!

From slaps to swordplay, performers of all levels will learn how to tell a story with their whole body. Techniques will be applied to Shakespeare scenes, culminating in a dynamic, battle royale finale performance on March 18. In the hands of an experienced instructor, and with a strong emphasis on safety, this class will teach the specific techniques of hand to hand combat and swordplay, including safe approaches to slaps, pushes, hair pulling, kicks and chokes, basic swordplay skills such as cuts, parries, binds and disarms.

This class is a fun and engaging way to build performance skills, work with other teenagers as part of a team and connect the ideas and conflicts in Shakespeare's world to our own. Open to students of all experience levels and abilities, ages 12–18.

Cost is $175. CU faculty and staff can save $20 when you use coupon code "BUFFBARD19." Scholarships also are available.
