Interested in donating new toys and gifts to Indigenous youth this holiday season? 

The Denver Indian Center is holding its 10th annual toy drive for youth ages 0–18. This drive serves 500 Indigenous families in the Denver metro area. 

Bring new, unwrapped gifts to the Office of Diversity, Equity and Community Engagement, Regent Admin Center, Suite 206. We are accepting donations from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Deadline: Friday, Dec. 10, 4:30 p.m.

Partner with CSI for I Love Mondays

I Love Mondays is a weekly event hosted by the Center for Student Involvement that creates a space for students to connect with one another, learn about different organizations and events on campus, and relieve some of the Monday blues. Each Monday, we will highlight different campus departments, student organizations and events to help you become more connected to the CU Boulder campus. I Love Mondays are typically held in the UMC North Dining Area from 2 to 3 p.m.

Undergraduates: Get $20 to participate in a focus group

Strategic Relations and Communications seeks undergraduates to participate in 75- to 90-minute focus groups being held between Dec. 2 and Dec. 7. The focus groups will be conveniently held on Zoom.

We want to hear your opinions about different CU Boulder communications and branding. Participation is confidential, and all responses will be anonymous.

The Professional and Academic Conference Endowment (PACE) encourages undergraduates to participate in the National Conference on Undergraduate Research: NCUR 2022, which will be delivered virtually April 4–8, 2022. This is an exciting opportunity for thousands of undergraduate researchers and artists from all over the world and disciplinary corners to get together for a unique virtual conference experience. Participants will gain experience presenting their research; opportunities for professional development, including a virtual graduate school Future Fair; networking sessions with other students and faculty in their fields; and more. Submit abstracts by Nov. 29, 2021.

Help wanted to organize, sell books at $15–$20 per hour

CU Boulder alumnus Korey Letkomiller (EnvDes’16) is seeking help to organize and sell a collection of 5,000 books on behalf of a client located in central Boulder. The job is close to campus and offers flexible hours to suit your schedule, good pay and great experience. Salary or commission negotiable. Experience working in book retail or online listing is a plus. Art and holistic health knowledge is useful but not necessary. Please reach out if you are interested.

Students, staff and faculty can now submit their nominations for the fifth annual Open Educator Award. Help the University Libraries and CU Student Government recognize innovative CU Boulder educators who demonstrate exemplary use of open educational resources (OER) in their classrooms or teaching practice.

Deadline is Monday, Jan. 3.

CU Boulder seeks nominations for engineering dean

CU Boulder seeks nominations for an accomplished academician, experienced administrator, and inspiring and visionary leader to serve as dean of the College of Engineering and Applied Science (CEAS).

In this leadership role, the dean serves as the chief academic and administrative officer of the college and works with CEAS stakeholders, including donors and partners in industry, to articulate and achieve the college’s and the university’s strategic mission and goals. The position reports directly to the provost and also is part of CU Boulder’s leadership team.

“We are seeking a leader who can provide strategic direction for our top-ranking engineering college,” said Provost Russell Moore. “Our ideal candidate will have an outstanding academic record, strong administrative skills, a deep commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, and an inspiring vision for the next level of accomplishment for CEAS.”
